A Southern Confort, responsável pela bem recebida coleção American Way, lançará em breve o CD April Fool´s Dinner, uma gravação de platéia de excelente qualidade do show do dia 1º de Abril de 1975, em Vegas. O show já havia sido lançado na década de 80 no vinil Rockin With Elvis April Fool´s Day, mas a Southern Confort promete uma qualidade sonora muito superior. O CD virá no formato digipack ( o mesmo da FTD) e contará com faixas bônus do Midnight Show do mesmo dia, provinientes de um booth tape ( qualidade superior similar a do CD 1 A Profile 1)

Sunset Rundown, contendo os ensaios de Elvis para as apresentações registradas para o documentário" On Tour" em 31 de Março de 1972 e A Hilton Double Shot, CD duplo contendo dois shows já previamente lançados, serão os próximos lançamentos da Madison. Os sounboards são os do dia 4 de Setembro de 1972 ( Previamente lançado como I´ll Remember You) e 2 de Fevereiro de 1973 ( Lançado anteriormente como Dont Think Twice, da própria Madison). A FTD anunciou Blue Hawaii como próximo CD da série classica. A Praytome Publishing anunciou seu novo projeto Dixileand Delight. Trata-se de um livro DVD cobrindo os shows de Elvis em Huntsville em 1975. Além de centenas de fotos inéditas e memorabílias dos eventos, o DVD que acompanha o livro trará a íntegra da recém descoberta filmagem da chegada de Elvis em Huntsville, feita por um canal local. No trailer abaixo é possível conferir um pouco do material do DVD e ao que parece, embora a descrição no site oficial e as imagens abaixo não deixem claro, partes do show também foram filmados pela equipe.

O aguardado livro Teenager´s Hero já está disponível para o deleite dos fãs. Trazendo 400 páginas com centenas de fotos raras do período de Ouro de Elvis em 1956, o projeto terá tiragem exlusiva de apenas 1000 cópias.

11/01/2009: Straigh Arrow Prepara CD Da Última Temporada De Elvis Em Vegas.

Segundo informações postadas no fórum do FECC, a Straight Arrow está preparando um CD duplo com o show de abertura da última temporada de Elvis em Vegas, em 1976. Segundo as informações, os responsáveis pelo lançamento procuraram por anos uma fonte sonora de qualidade, e finalmente obtiveram uma cópia de primeira geração de uma gravação de platéia em Stereo. Trata-se da primeira vez que este show será lançado em CD e nessa qualidade, visto que apenas circulou entre os fãs no formato de fitas cassetes ou CD-Rs de baixa qualidade sonora.

A JAT Productions anunciou o conteúdo do quarto volume da série Hot Shots & Cool Clips. Segundo Tunzi, o DVD irá conter filmagens de 1955 no Texas ( na íntegra), do programa de 1956 Hy Gardner Calling, segmentos do Curtain Call do show de Milton Berle em 1956, a última entrevista antes de voltar para casa em 1960, material de It Happened At The World's Fair, filmagens do American Sound Studio em 1969, 1972 Buffalo,NY, 1972, Chicago, IL 72, Dayton, OH, 76 e de 18 de Agosto de 1977, além de mais filmagens inéditas com muitos extras incluíndo uma entrevista inédita com marion Keisker e um comercial do primeiro album de Elvis pela RCA.

06/10/2008: Fotos Inéditas De Elvis São Descobertas

Um fã de Elvis descobriu 4 fotos inéditas de Elvis, numa simples busca no Google! As fotos estavam num site de um clube de Ski. O clube, intitulado Little Rock Ski Club estava comemorando quarenta anos de atividades e por isso postou fotos de várias viagens realizadas desde 1967. Entre essas fotos estavam quatro fotos batidas no que seria, ao que as informações atuais dão conta, uma viagem em um avião alugado, entre Memphis e Denver, no Colorado. As fotos mostram Elvis de pé no corredor do avião. A história da ocasião é ainda mais fascinante. Leia essa história e veja as fotos na nossa seção fotos.

Para deixar o pacote ainda mais incrível, estarão inclusos seis CDs contendo todos os shows gravados para o documentario e um livro contendo todas as fotos conhecidas do projeto. Segundo as informações as imagens dos shows terão qualidade superior aos piratas que vazaram recentemente, algumas sem a marca da Turner. As imagens foram editadas profissionalmente, da forma mais completa possível. Se o lançamento fizer jus as expectativas, será certamente um dos lançamentos mais importantes da história no mundo Elvis.

Segundo sites internacionais e comentário do próprio Ernst Jorgensen, a Sony/BMG irá lançar esse ano uma caixa com 30 CDs, em edição limitadíssima de 10.000 unidades, contendo todos as canções gravadas por Elvis, mais uma seleção de takes alternativos e gravações caseiras. Todo o material já foi previamente lançado, mas passará por uma nova remasterização e será acompanhadado de um livro com informações sobre a música de Elvis Presley. A arte da caixa e mais informações a respeito do projeto ainda não foram divulgados.

A FTD anunciou o adiamento do CD In Person. Originalmente o CD estava planejado para Outubro mas devido a sobrecarga de trabalhos na Sony /BMG, o lançamento ficou para Dezembro. A boa notícia é que juntamente com o In Person, a FTD irá lançar um soundboard da temporada de Fevereiro de 1973. 11/08/2008: Brasileiro Constrói Réplica De Graceland.

Marlon Manica, um fã de Elvis no Brasil, está construindo uma réplica de Graceland, a famosa mansão de Elvis em Memphis. Segundo Marlon, a construção da réplica está seguindo fielmente o projeto original e reproduzirá todos os detalhes da famosa fachada, dos leões de pedra ao lendário portão musical. A construção começou em abril deste ano e deve se concluir em Novembro.

Joseph Tunzi esta lançando dois novos livros de fotos. O primeiro é Portraits, que reúne mais de 100 fotografias tiradas profissionalmente em estúdio, para serem usadas na divulgação dos filmes de Elvis ou em tour books da década de 70. O outro é 68 at 40, trazendo fotos inéditas do especial de 1968. O livro é escrito por ninguém menos que Steve Binder, o diretor e produtor do especial.

11/04/2008: Descobertas Fotos Inéditas De Elvis No Madison Square Garden

O fotógrafo George Kalinsky trabalhava numa campanha publicitária para a Virgen Records de Nova York quando decidiu olhar em seus arquivos em busca de fotografias que pudessem ser utilizadas para o tema grandes apresentações em Nova York. George acabou encontrando mais de 100 fotografias tiradas por ele, durante a apresentação de Elvis no Madison Square Garden. As fotos surpreendem pela clareza e proximidade. Uma das fotos foi usada na camapnha publicitária e as demais devem encontrar seu caminho em algum livro em breve.

Morreu no Sábado, dia 1º de Março, Todd Morgan, o "relações públicas" da EPE Todd começou trabalhando como guia em Graceland quando Jovem e acabou tornando-se a ponte entre os fãs e a organização. Morgan foi também o idealizador do fabuloso Elvis The Concert e participou ativamente de projetos essencias como Elvis 68 Comeback Special - Deluxe Edition e a nova versão do Aloha From Hawaii. Aparentemente, Todd sofre um ataque cardíaco fulminante, em sua casa em Memphis.

O Elvis Collectors Brasil inaugura mais uma seção. É a "Discografia Nacional", cujo objetivo é organizar o catálogo original da discografia de Elvis em nosso país. A seção focará nas diferenças de arte e conteúdo dos álbuns de Elvis no Brasil. A nova seção será feita por Jean Fabrício Gomes, que irá contribuir com textos e fotos dos albuns nacionais. O excelente selo Southern Confort, responsável pela série American Way, irá lançar em muito breve, um CD duplo contendo os shows completos do dia 19 e do dia 20 de Agosto de 1975, a temporada que ficou conhecida como "request box shows". Os shows ficaram assim conhecidos quando Elvis decidiu colocar uma caixa no saguão do Hotel, para que os fãs deixassem seus pedidos musicais.

09/01/2008: Morre Bill Belew.

Morreu no dia 7 deste mês, Bill Belew, o homem responsável pelo visual lendário de Elvis na década de 70. Belew foi o responsável pela criação de várias jumpsuits entre 1970 e 1974, os famosos macacões ricamente adornados que tornaram-se marca registrada do cantor e entraram para o imaginário popular. Em 2003, as Jumpsuits de Elvis foram eleitas por uma pesquisa britânica como as roupas mais representativas do Rock'N' Roll. Bill também desenhou boa parte do guarda-roupas pessoal de Elvis e supervisionou a criação de diversas Jumpsuits usadas por ele durante o período de 1975-1977.

A Audionics e a 2001 se unirão para lançar uma muita aguardada remasterização do famoso show de Birmingham 1976, lançado originalmente na década de 90. Intitulado High Voltage, o CD trará o conhecido show lançado anteriormente sob o título de Burning In Birmingham, com grande melhoria da qualidade sonora.
